Willy Sezna was raised in a golfing family in Delaware, and the game has been part of his life ever since.

He studied at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill before spending a decade in hospitality, running restaurants, hotels, and golf courses. That experience led him into finance, where he found the opportunity to acquire Global Turf Equipment, a leading turf equipment distributor serving Florida and the Caribbean.

Running GTE put Willy back in daily contact with golf course superintendents — and exposed a persistent gap: great talent going overlooked, and great facilities struggling to find the right fit. That gap is why he co-founded Pin Placements, not just to place superintendents, but to build real partnerships with them, funding resources back into the profession with every placement made.

Willy and his wife Aubrey live in Tampa, Florida, with their four daughters. He is an Affiliate Member of the GCSAA and the Florida GCSA, serves as a Governing Board Member for The First Tee of Tampa Bay, a Founding Member of The Phoenix Org's Tampa Impact Board, and an Advisory Board Member of the Super-Scratch Foundation.

Brian Waggoner was born and raised in Florida, and his path back to the state has run through hospitality, staffing, and small business growth along the way.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University before starting his career in hospitality, running restaurants and opening new concepts throughout Florida. From there, he spent several years in Chicago with a leading staffing, recruiting, and culture firm — work that shaped how he thinks about talent, teams, and what makes people stay and grow somewhere. He later returned to Florida to lead operations and strategic growth for small businesses, and today leads growth efforts for Global Turf Equipment.

Brian's career has always centered on identifying talent and building the teams around it — so Pin Placements was a natural complement to the daily conversations with superintendents that GTE already put him in. Those conversations made one thing clear: the industry doesn't just need a better way to fill open roles, it needs an advocate — someone in the superintendent's corner, supporting them, coaching them, and helping them think intentionally about how to grow their career, not just find the next job. That belief is also why giving back is built into every placement Pin Placements makes, not treated as an afterthought.
