Our Team
Willy Sezna | Co-Founder
Willy Sezna was raised in a golfing family in Delaware, and the game has been part of his life ever since.
He studied at UNC Chapel Hill before spending a decade in hospitality, running restaurants, hotels, and golf courses. That experience led him into finance, where he found the opportunity to acquire Global Turf Equipment, a leading turf distributor serving Florida and the Caribbean.
Running GTE put Willy back in daily contact with golf course superintendents — and exposed a persistent gap: great talent going overlooked, and great facilities struggling to find the right fit. That gap is why he co-founded Pin Placements, not just to place superintendents, but to build real partnerships with them, funding resources back into the profession with every placement made.
"Pin Placements was founded out of a debt to the game. I come from a golfing family — raised by the community of golf, shaped by its people, and given a career inside it. The game is my life's work. Pin Placements is how we give back to it."

Brian Waggoner | Co-Founder
Brian Waggoner was born and raised in Florida and has built his career around one thing: finding great people and building strong teams around them.
After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Brian began his career in hospitality, opening and operating restaurants across Florida. He later spent several years in Chicago with a leading staffing, recruiting, and culture firm, where he developed a deep understanding of what attracts great talent—and what makes people stay and grow. Today, he leads growth efforts for Global Turf Equipment.
Through his work with GTE, Brian saw firsthand a challenge facing the golf industry: superintendents don't just need help filling open roles—they need an advocate in their corner. Someone who understands the industry, helps them find the right people, and supports their own career growth.
That belief led to Pin Placements and its commitment to giving back to the industry with every placement.
"We want every placement to have an impact beyond filling a position. By giving back with every hire we make, we're investing in the same industry and community that we're here to serve."
— Brian Waggoner, Co-Founder
Brian is a member of GCSAA and the Florida GCSA.
